I’m dreaming of a White Christmas

On Christmas Eve during World War II, Captain Bob Wallace and Private Phil Davis realize they could perform well together. After the war, they go on a tour as singing duet, Wallace and Davis. They become a huge success.

As a favor to their wartime buddy, they go watch his sisters, Betty and Judy. Betty and Judy are singing duo. Bob and Phil are deciding if they want to include Betty and Judy in their hit show. When the sisters run into trouble at the bar they are performing at, Phil gives the girls their tickets to go up to New York City. Bob doesn’t know that Phil did this until he sees them on the train.

Phil convinces Bob to go with Betty and Judy to Vermont to the inn that the girls are scheduled to play in. They are shocked once they arrive in Vermont because there is no snow.  When they get to the inn, Bob and Phil recognize that their Captain from the War is the owner of the inn and with no snow, business isn’t doing good. Bob and Phil bring their show to the inn in hopes to bring more people to the Captain’s inn. Bob and Phil have a successful show on top of a big surprise to the Captain.

The best things happen while you’re dancing

Nothing beats this classic 1954 Christmas movie full of wonderful singing and dancing. Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney, and Vera Ellen star in this blockbuster hit movie. White Christmas has been to Broadway and several other theaters but hasn’t done nearly as well as this classic movie. The movie is a romantic comedy.

This is my most favorite Christmas movie that came out of this era. What better way to start out the Christmas season than by watching this classic.

“May your days be merry and bright; and may all your Christmases be white!”
